Training Courses

TSCM Technical Services provides eavesdropping detection training for companies and organizations.  We offer a variety of courses including  program refreshers, product training developed specifically for clients' needs, and in conjunction with TSCM Services in South Africa, two week basic and advanced courses. 

Refresher Updates:
Organizations that do their own TSCM must be certain that their programs are up to date and that their technicians are doing the jobs properly.  Annual refresher training updates the team on the latest eavesdropping threats and audits the skills of the participants.  

These are one to three day sessions held at the client's facility and  cover equipment operation, actual equipment usage by the in-house team, TSCM theory.   Refreshers also include telephone systems vulnerability updates, and exposure to new detection techniques and technologies.

Specific Product Training
We are not associated with any equipment manufacturer, yet we have had experience with virtually all of the TSCM equipment on the market.  If your TSCM requirements include new equipment or if you are  updating current equipment inventories, we can train your personnel to provide the most for  your program.

We present unbiased and accurate methodology for equipment use.  Unlike most manufacturers’ training classes, we’ll let you know what the equipment can do, and, more importantly, what it can’t.  Our interest is not in making you pleased with the purchase decision, but in making sure you get the most out of the equipment you have.

One to two day sessions include equipment theory of operation, classroom instruction, and supervised use in sweeps.

Training can take place at your facility or at ours.

Basic and Advance Training Classes
We offer in-depth training in conjunction with TSCM Services of South Africa.  Each course provides 80 hours of class room and hands-on training over a two week period.  Even though South Africa is a considerable distance from the US, these courses offer tremendous value. 

Eighty hours of classroom time includes essential theory, many hours of equipment usage in sweep conditions, as well as insights from instructors who have decades of experience in both the private sector and government.  Courses are held at a conference center located in the countryside approximately 65 miles from Johannesburg.   Three meals a day and bungalow lodging are provided,  Attendees are immersed in a TSCM environment and come away with a solid basis from which to work.

These courses are probably the best training value on the planet.   Due to the exchange rate between the Rand  and the Dollar,   attendance at a two week session costs only a bit more than attending a four day training session in the US.   The cost for each course is US$2400 and includes local transportation, meals and lodging at the training center.  It also includes lodging upon arrival prior to the start of the course and after completion prior to departure.  Airfare from New York is less than $1400.  Attendance at a US based short class will cost approximately $3500 after adding in transportation costs, meals and lodging.
