Background & Experience

TSCM Technical Services, the leading supplier of eavesdropping countermeasures services, is headed by Rob Muessel.

Prior to founding TSCM Technical Services, he was Director of Technical Services for Information Security Associates, Inc., in Stamford, CT.  ISA is one of the cutting edge developers and manufacturers of eavesdropping detection products in the United States.  He joined ISA in 1983 and had led the TSCM program since 1989.   Under his guidance, sweeps were made for clients located throughout the United States and countries throughout the world.  He was also in charge of ISA’s in-house training programs and was responsible for international and North American equipment sales.

Prior to joining ISA, he was a program manager for a security systems company that provided integrated security systems to the nuclear power industry. He has a strong background in telecommunications systems, radio technology, physical security, and overall security issues.

Mr. Muessel is on site during all surveys.

Additional survey staff includes trained technicians with diverse security service, investigative, and TSCM backgrounds. On large assignments, we can call upon trained technicians from across the USA for assistance so jobs can be competed in a timely and efficient manner.

Wide ranging international experience in conducting sweeps and consulting with local law enforcement and government agencies on equipment requirements around the world have yielded a wealth of experience and insight as to the vulnerabilities of communications systems in different countries, business culture-based weaknesses and has allowed us to develop a large group of contact personnel who can provide assistance on international projects.

          We have conducted training classes for TSCM technicians from across North America, numerous South American countries, leading countries in Asia, and many European and African nations.

          We have served as expert witnesses in matters related to eavesdropping in US trial courts..

           We are active in security trade organizations promoting awareness of corporate communications security issues.  Mr. Muessel has served several years as a chapter officer in the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) and is a member of BECCA, the Business Espionage Controls and Countermeasures Association.
